Out and About in the Community

Publicity isn’t only about posters and social media — we love getting out into the local community and meeting people in person.

Each year, CAST has a gazebo at local events such as the Wraysbury and Langley Carnivals, where we can chat to visitors, tell people about the theatre company and our upcoming productions, hand out information and encourage new people to get involved.

There’s usually plenty of fun too, with games, performances and activities helping us bring a little bit of CAST to the carnival.

It’s a great way to meet future audience members, potential new members and local families — and to show people what CAST is all about.

Social Media

A fantastic show needs an audience — and that’s where Publicity & Social Media comes in!

From the first announcement of a new production right through to opening night, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes to spread the word about CAST. Posters, photographs, social media posts, local publicity, show information and those all-important reminders help make sure people know what we’re doing, where we’re doing it and how they can get tickets!

It’s also about sharing the personality of CAST. Rehearsal photos, backstage moments, cast introductions and the occasional bit of silliness give our audiences a glimpse of the people, friendships and hard work behind every production.

Our website gives us another way to tell the CAST story, celebrate more than 35 years of productions and hopefully introduce a whole new audience to what we do.

We’re now planning to share even more of CAST through Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok, with short videos, rehearsal snippets, backstage moments, cast introductions, show news and plenty of fun along the way.

It means you’ll be able to see not only what happens on stage, but some of the laughter, creativity and teamwork that goes into bringing each production to life.
