In order that our expanding younger membership can be kept actively involved with the group throughout the year, CAST Academy will give them a chance to shine in their own productions. This ensures that the young talent has the opportunity to develop in readiness for eventual participation in main CAST productions when opportunities arise, and possibly a career in theatre.

CAST Academy launched in January 2007 and meets every Thursday from 6.30pm to 8.00pm prior to our main group.

Membership is open to young people between the ages of 10 and 16yrs, however membership numbers are limited (for safety and legal reasons).

Please note that we are currently have space for additional members. We would also be delighted to put potential new members on our waiting list for when places become available and they reach the required age.

We are thrilled to announce that at the NODA AGM on 22nd June 2008 CAST Academy were nominated AND WON!!! the Brand new "Flame Award" for "Inspirational Contribution to the pursuit of Excellence in Theatre". Tim & Ruth, Rob & Kim and five of the CAST Academy members were at the AGM and have been presented with the award. Well done to everyone within the cast and crew of Honk! !!!!!!!!!!!
