Welcome to CAST, a friendly community theatre group based in Colnbrook, Berkshire, but attracting members from far beyond.
CAST are always on the look-out for new members, so whether you are new to theatre, or have years of experience, on stage or behind the scenes, come on down and meet the team!
Panto returns to the Colnbrook Stage (oh, yes it does)! Our show this year will be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Rehearsals will begin on Monday September 11th at 8.30pm, read through and audition dates will be announced soon.
“Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the most gorgeously beautiful of them all?…”
We are delighted to confirm that our 2017 pantomime will be Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, written by our good friend Ben Crocker, and seeing the return of Steve Oakes as Director and Producer.
This year's show will be a true CAST family affair involving both members of the adult group and youth Academy.
Join Snow White on an enthralling adventure where good meets evil! Featuring, among others, the wicked Queen Caligula and her henchmen, two fairies, the loveable Dame Dolly Dumpling and her happy go lucky son, Danny, a dashing Prince, plus seven vertically challenged friends!
Further details on the performance dates and the rest of the production team will be announced over the next few weeks, with box office opening immediately after our spring production for advanced group bookings.
The spring saw a return of traditional British Farce to the Colnbrook stage, with the Ray Cooney & John Chapman's classic Move Over Mrs Markham staged between 29th March and 1st April.
Our summer show, devised and directed by Steve Parkyn, featuring the songs of Bacharach & David. This showcased the vocal skills of many of our talented group members and was greatly received by our audiences, who gave the team a standing ovation on more than one night!
Finally our pre-Christmas slot will see the the panto Snow White hit the Colnbrook stage for the first time in 13 years.
The Annual Quiz was hosted in April by our Quizmaster Steve Parkyn and the Cole/Parkyn Initational Trophy was won in a close run battle by "Defence Against The Stupid"
2017 has seen CAST and The Academy perform at both Wraysbury Fair and Langley Carnival once again.
At Wraysbury The Academy performed A Hard Knock Life from the musical Annie and the CAST shared a sing-along with some well known numbers in glorious sunshine!
At Langley, there was a medieval display including jousting and much enthusiasm when it came to throwing wet sponges at a number of the team trapped in stocks!
The vocal talents of the group were also in display with a sneak preview of some of the songs from the upcoming Bacharach and David Songbook.
