Welcome to CAST, a friendly community theatre group based in Colnbrook, Berkshire, but attracting members from far beyond.
CAST are always on the look-out for new members, so whether you are new to theatre, or have years of experience, on stage or behind the scenes, come on down and meet the team!
Following the AGM on 28th July 2016, we are pleased to announce our programme of shows for the coming year.
Things will kick-off this Christmas with our annual pantomime 'Mother Goose', a 1st time for this story to be retold on the CAST stage. This will also see the directing debut of CAST newcomer Debbie Clutterbuck.
The spring will see a return of traditional British Farce to the Colnbrook stage. Full show details to follow within the coming weeks.
Finally, our summer show will be a musical trip down memory lane, directed by Steve Parkyn and featuring the songs of Bacharach & David. Join us as we bring classics such as Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head, What the World Needs Now, Make it Easy on Yourself, Magic Moments, Close to YOU and many more to life on the cabaret stage.
Lynda Smith - Ken Howard Trophy (for bringing fun and friendship to the group)
Pam Harvey - Sheila Botevyle Trophy (for best performance in an ensemble for the 2nd year)
Lauren Siveright - Chairman's Cup (for outstanding contribution to the group)
2016 has already seen CAST and The Academy perform at both Wraysbury Fair and Langley Carnival.
At Wraysbury The Academy performed Welcome to the 60s and When I Grow Up from their forthcoming revue show, with the older CAST members joining them on stage for the 70s Disco themed Play that Funky Music and Footloose.
At Langley, the above was repeated, along with the first ever staging of CAST's Animalympics, with 12 members donning panto animal costumes to compete over obstacles in the main arena. A fun afternoon which certainly gained the group some new fans!
